Achieving revenues of 252.0 million PLN and a consolidated net profit of 128.5 million PLN, the Text Group has posted these cumulative results for the first three quarters of the 2023/24 financial year. Specifically, in the third quarter, the Group reported 89.4 million PLN in revenue (an increase of 3.9% year-on-year) and 43.9 million PLN in net profit (a decrease of 7.1%).
The Company generates virtually all of its revenues in dollars, and the weakening of this currency had a negative impact on the dynamics of results - in dollar terms, the revenue growth would amount to 17.8%.
Compared to the corrected results from the previous year, the Group's revenues for the three current quarters increased by 19.3%, operating profit by 16.4% (to 138.1 mn PLN), EBITDA by 18.1% (to 152.6 mn PLN), and consolidated net profit by 16.7%. This year, the Company changed its revenue recognition policy. Currently, payments for periods longer than a month are divided into subsequent quarters. Consequently, the Company recognizes a "liabilities from customer contracts" item representing deferred revenues. After three quarters, their value amounted to 69.9 million PLN.
"Of course, we want to see higher growth dynamics, but operating in difficult market conditions, we recorded solid financial results. The focus remains unchanged: building value for our customers," said the Company’s CEO, Mariusz Ciepły.
A valuable indicator that allows tracking the development of the Group is the so-called MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue). Text publishes this value in US dollars, the currency in which it generates virtually all its revenues. The estimated value of monthly recurring revenues (MRR - Monthly Recurring Revenue) of the Group from all products at the end of December 2023 was 6.49 million USD.
This represents a year-on-year increase of 2.2%. The third quarter was a record for the Company regarding payments received. This value amounted to 21.34 million USD, indicating a year-on-year increase of 12.9%.
At the end of the quarter, the number of customers for the LiveChat product was 37,857, ChatBot 2,956, and HelpDesk 1,121.
The ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) for the LiveChat product at the end of the quarter was 156.4 USD (a decrease of 2.7% year-on-year, which results from the growing popularity of annual plans), for the ChatBot product 132.4 USD (an increase of 15%), and for the HelpDesk product - 140.0 USD (an increase of 19.8%).
The Company continues to generate cash very efficiently and confirms its policy of paying out the highest possible dividend from a legal perspective. In January 2024, the Company paid out the first advance toward expected dividend for the current financial year. The value of the installment per share amounted to 1.63 PLN compared to 1.46 PLN for a similar payment last year.
